BEIJING, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Qin Gang held talks with Sierra Leonean Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation David Francis in Beijing on Tuesday.
Noting that this year marks the tenth anniversary of the principles of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith in China's ties with Africa, Qin said that these principles have led to the success of bilateral relations, and will also open up a bright future for bilateral relations.
Qin said that the two sides should jointly implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, continue to firmly support each other, strengthen practical cooperation, and maintain close coordination in international and regional affairs.
Echoing Qin's remarks, Francis said that Sierra Leone values its relations with China, adheres firmly to the one-China principle, and looks forward to strengthening cooperation with China for the benefit of the two peoples.
