Progress made in int'l publishing cooperation under B&R: report
BEIJING, April 4 (Xinhua) -- A report on the development of international publishing cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative shows that copyright trade agreements signed between China and countries related to the initiative increased by 167 percent from 2016 to 2021.
The report, the fourth volume of its kind, was released by the Chinese Academy of Press and Publication (CAPP) in Beijing on Monday.
According to the report, in 2021, there were 10,162 copyright trades between China and countries related to the initiative, down 567 year-on-year. Of the total, 1,623 copyrights were imported, 12 more than the previous year.
Wei Yushan, head of the CAPP, said that under the guidance of relevant departments, publishers in China have jointly built platforms for academic, literary and children's publishing with relevant countries and regions, building a bridge for close cooperation between China and foreign countries.
