Universal Energy signs MoU on wind power project with Uzbekistan

BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Universal Energy has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on a wind power construction project with Uzbekistan's Ministry of Energy, according to the company's official website.
According to the MoU, in the next five years, Universal Energy will build a total of 500MW wind power projects in Uzbekistan, and the two sides will seek more cooperation opportunities in other new energy fields such as photovoltaics and energy storage.
As a Chinese private enterprise which is deeply engaged in the field of new energy in countries along the Belt and Road, Universal Energy has formed significant competitive advantages in terms of team, financing, electricity cost, risk management and other aspects, said NanYi, Founder and Chairman of Universal Energy.
On the same day, Universal Energy also signed a MoU on government project cooperation with Tashkent City of Uzbekistan, and the two sides will take this opportunity to strengthen cooperation and seek more new energy projects in industrial and commercial electricity consumption.
