The Ministry of Commerce of China (MOC) plans to unveil more measures to ensure the stable and high-quality development of China's foreign trade, reported Economic Information Daily Wednesday quoting an official.

Specific measures will include introducing well-targeted policies to enhance support for small-, medium- and micro-sized foreign trade firms, actively participating in high-standard multilateral regional trade arrangements and joint Belt and Road construction with high quality, actively supporting the development of new forms and models of foreign trade, such as cross-border e-commerce, overseas warehousing, market procurement and offshore trade, and ensuring the successful holding of the 130th session of the China Import and Export Fair and the 4th China International Import Expo, said Vice Minister of Commerce Ren Hongbin at a press conference held Tuesday.

The 130th session of the China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, is scheduled to be held both online and offline next month in south China's Guangdong Province, aiming at offering opportunities for global buyers and vendors to better connect with each other and thus promoting the domestic and international dual circulation.

The event will last five days and feature only one phase, as opposed to the three phases of previous sessions, in view of the current epidemic control situation. The offline exhibition will cover an area of 400,000 square meters, while 60,000 online booths will be set up for the virtual event, he added.
