Huawei supports Indonesia's telecom company in expanding big data services
JAKARTA, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- China's information and communications technology infrastructure provider Huawei supports Indonesia's telecommunications company Telkomsel in expanding its big data and fixed-mobile convergence services.
At the signing of an agreement on Wednesday in Jakarta, Telkomsel's Director of Information Technology Bharat Alva said the support is in a multi-cloud strategy, as well as lakehouse technology and 'storage and compute decoupling' architecture which allows it to cut operating costs.
"We were impressed to see the solutions that Huawei Cloud brought to us and are very excited to see what can be achieved through our cooperation," Alva said.
This collaboration aims to improve the communication and network experience for more than 153.3 million customers throughout Indonesia, Alva added.
"Huawei Cloud aims to become a trustworthy foundation for enterprises in digital transformation, and through local data centers, local teams, and local enterprise support services, we are bringing innovative technology and premium service with our enriched ecosystem to Indonesian customers," said CEO of Huawei Cloud Indonesia James Zhang.
Telkomsel is Indonesia's leading digital telecommunications company, supported by more than 228,000 base transceiver stations and the latest 4G and 5G broadband networks.
