(FOCAC) China's top political advisor meets Guinea-Bissau president
BEIJING, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- China's top political advisor Wang Huning on Tuesday met with Guinea-Bissau President Umaro Sissoco Embalo, who is here for the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said that China stands ready to work with Guinea-Bissau to continuously achieve new results in advancing their bilateral relations and China-Africa relations.
The CPPCC National Committee is committed to playing a constructive role in this endeavor, Wang said.
Embalo said that China truly understands Africa and has consistently provided sincere assistance to Africa in accelerating its development, thus earning the trust and friendship of African countries and peoples. He expressed the hope to use this summit as an opportunity to elevate bilateral relations to a new level.
