Overview of the new area
In April 2019, Hangzhou Qiantang New Area, including Hangzhou Dajiangdong Industry Cluster Zone and Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Area, was approved to be established by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. The Area boasts three state-level honors — Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Area, Hangzhou Comprehensive Bonded Area and Linjiang High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

Besides, there are a number of major projects under construction, including Huahai Medicine, Jiuzhou, AllTest Biotech, etc. In the future, Hangzhou Qiantang New Area will focus on bio-pharmaceutical, medical apparatus and instruments, biomedical engineering and medical big data, aiming to create an industry cluster with output value of 100 billion yuan.

Hangzhou Qiantang New Area has grouped lots of key enterprises, such as Hengyi High-tech Materials, Foremost Material, Southeast New Materials, LG, Lily Group and so on. In the future, Qiantang New Area will focus on high-performance metal new materials and chemical new materials, aiming to create an industry cluster with output value of 100 billion yuan.

Hangzhou Qiantang New Area has aggregated lots of key enterprises, such as Xizi Spirit Aviation, Zhejiang University Aviation Equipment Research Center and so on. In the future, Qiantang New Area will take large aircraft and related parts, aviation new material, aviation electronic equipment as priority, aiming to create an industry cluster with output value of 100 billion yuan.
