Recently, 34 students of Class 2023 from Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) countries have successfully completed the autumn semester courses of the China-OECD LLM Programme on Taxation (COTP) in the National Tax Institute of State Taxation Administration (STA).
This semester has set up courses such as transfer pricing, US tax law, and EU tax law.
Meanwhile, COTP organized students to carry out field study in Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces in China, providing opportunities for professional discussion on taxation, face-to-face interactions with businesses and policy consultation, etc.
COTP was established through co-operation among the STA of China, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Ministry of Finance (MOF) of China and the Xiamen University (XMU).
The program aims to equip tax officials and professionals from BRI countries with cutting-edge knowledge of international tax law and enable them to understand frontier issues and emerging developments in international taxation.
