Kuwaiti defense minister expects more cooperation with China

KUWAIT CITY, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait looks forward to more cooperation with China in various fields, said Kuwait's Minister of Defense Sheikh Ahmad Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Sheikh Ahmad Fahad, who is also the deputy prime minister, made the remarks while attending the reception for the 96th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) on Wednesday evening.
During the event, he said Kuwait will consolidate "deep and unique" bilateral relations with China on the basis of mutual respect and win-win cooperation.
He noted that the two countries have always been enthusiastic about strengthening cooperation in various fields and levels, especially in the areas of military education and training, which have made significant progress.
He added Kuwait looks forward to more cooperation with China in various fields, and hopes that the friendship between the two countries will continue.
Xue Chuanlai, the defense attache of the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait said that the Chinese army is a responsible and peace-loving army of the people. China and Kuwait are good friends who trust each other and good partners who sincerely cooperate.
The two militaries should further strengthen international and regional security cooperation, advocate concerted settlement of regional disputes through diplomatic channels and dialogue, and work together to safeguard world peace, contribute to global development, and uphold international order, he added.
