YANGON, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese embassy in Myanmar held a reception in Yangon on Friday to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ma Jia, Secretary of Myanmar's State Administration Council Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe, and more than 500 people from all walks of life in Myanmar, envoys from various countries to Myanmar, representatives of international organizations, Chinese companies and overseas Chinese attended the reception.

In her speech, Ma reviewed China's great development achievements over the past 75 years and said China has always placed the development of China-Myanmar relations in an important position in its neighborhood diplomacy, adhered to a friendly policy towards Myanmar for all the people of Myanmar, continuously promoted people-to-people exchanges between China and Myanmar, and continued to deepen pragmatic cooperation to better benefit the two countries and their people.

During the reception, the guests expressed congratulations on the remarkable development achievements made by China in the 75 years since its founding, spoke positively of the results of China-Myanmar friendly cooperation, and looked forward to the China-Myanmar "Paukphaw" (fraternal) friendship to better benefit the two countries and the two peoples.
