CCPIT Inner Mongolia promotes trade development of region in 2023
China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee spared no efforts to promote development of the region's foreign trade in 2023.
Last year, the CCPIT Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee issued 72,095 general certificates of origin, up 51 percent year on year, 893 preference certificates of origin, up 9.3 percent year on year, and a total of 185 certificates of origin under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement. The total value of the certificates amounted to 3.39 billion U.S. dollars, up 36.7 percent year on year.
In 2023, as an important bridgehead for China's opening to the north, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region actively participated in the Belt and Road Initiative for high-quality development.
For example, the CCPIT Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee organized enterprises and the entrepreneurs to attend the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and the Belt and Road CEO Conference, both held in October 2023, for more international business cooperation, with more than 1 billion U.S. dollars worth of deals signed.
In order to comprehensively boost Inner Mongolia's openness, the CCPIT Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee signed 11 MoUs with business associations from countries such as Ecuador and Argentina. Meanwhile, it also organized the China (Inner Mongolia) - the United States (California) Import and Export (Online) Procurement Fairs, where five companies of the region signed export sales agreements totaling approximately 400 million yuan.
